The estimator starts from a category baseline: Games typically take 2 to 6 days, Social Networking 3 to 8 days, Photo & Video 2 to 7 days, Productivity 1 to 4 days, Health & Fitness 2 to 6 days, Education 2 to 6 days, Finance 4 to 10 days, Travel 3 to 7 days, Shopping 2 to 7 days, and Utilities 1 to 4 days. These ranges are local, deterministic reference bands, not official Apple commitments.
The engine adds a small adjustment for the submission date: launches in the second half of December and major holiday release windows tend to be a little busier, while normal mid-year dates stay near the category baseline. App size above 200 MB and a history of metadata rejections or incomplete privacy labels add buffer to the high end of the range.
A report always records the category used, the submission date, the app size, the previous review history note, the computed median and range, the confidence interval, the release-planning note, and the stated limitations. Reports are generated deterministically in the browser and can be copied as text, downloaded, exported, or opened in a print-friendly view.
All calculation runs locally in your browser. No account, sign-in, or payment is required. If the optional Axle backend is not configured, the tool uses the same deterministic local engine and clearly labels the run as local. Use the result as a planning aid, not a guarantee from Apple.
